Kerri's Likes/Dislikes

This is my 1st exchange and I am so excited to get a surprise from one of you wonderful ladies!!!Whatever you love and put your time into I am sure I will love as well. Most of my tree is decorated with blown glass ornaments I collect and very traditional. I would love something that reflects your part of the world or means something to you.
I like things that are funny, sampler inspired, nature/animals, santas, I am eclectic and easy to please.
But I am really thrilled to have anything at all!

Likes and Dislikes(Mylene)

Hello, i do like almost everything and an ornament or pinkeep are fine but oh do wish something into a flatfold. I have seen a few of those and would really like to try it myself but it seems so difficult.

Hope my partner will post her likes and dislikes too.

Have a nice weekend to all,
Mylene

Cyndi

I like anything non-religious - so winter scenes, Santas, snowmen, trees, etc. are great.

Likes and dislikes (Leena)

Hi,

I just love Christmas, so I love almost everything Christmassy :) I prefer an ornament for my Christmas tree, but I'm happy with any other finishing too. I love different kinds of ornaments - sampler style, nativity, houses, woodland, snowmen... Some of my favourite designers are La D Da, With My Needle, Prairie Schooler, Bent Creek, many French designers etc. Anything what my partner chooses to stitch for me is most welcome!

Happy stitching,
Leena

Sally's Likes/ Dislikes

I have already posted in the comments section about this but thought I'd add a post so it can be clearly seen by my partner:)

I will be happy with whatever design you stitch for me. I don't mind what colours are in it or anything as I am just so happy to be taking part in this exchange so anything you stitch will be treasured. I would, however, prefer an ornament that I could hang on my tree:)

Hello my partner!
I will love anything you making for me but just let you know that I prefer christmas tree ornament or wallhanging. My favorite designers are Bent Creek, Waxing moon, Heart in Hand, Shepherds Bush, Prairie Schooler and Lizzie Kate.

Sisu's likes and dislikes

I like just about anything. It has to be sturdy enought to withstand the 'helping' hands of a 2 year old and a 6 year old, and I do NOT like Christmas being abbreviated X-mas. Other than that, it's all good!

Sisu's likes and dislikes

Since many people have posted that they would like everyone to list what they like and don't like (to maintain anonymity), I will post mine.

I am open to pretty much all Christmas themes, both spiritual and non. Whatever I get needs to be fairly sturdy as I have 2 young kids (6 and 2) that love to help with the tree.

My biggest pet peeve is when Christmas is abbreviated X-mas. I do not like that. But that is about my only dislike. Have a ball! And I agree that everyone should post any strong likes or dislikes, just keep the partners a secret!

Hi!
I don't know who my partner is, but I want her or him to rest assured that I will love anything you make for me! I do prefer a Christmas tree ornament, though, as some are talking about making other types of items.
My favorite designers are Drawn Thread, Birds of a Feather, Indigo Rose, Carriage House Samplings, Just Nan and such.... I don't have children, but yet really do mind if you choose something cutesy.... Just have fun!
Now I am hoping my partner posts some ideas for me too - LOL!!

Happy Stitching to All!

Definition Ornament?

I've received some questions about the finishing of the Christmas Ornaments. And I must honestly say, that I don't know myself... So I want to share this with you, and hear what your opinions are.

Should a Christmas Ornament for this exchange, be something that you can hang in to your Christmas tree? Or could it also be something else? (For example: a pillowcover, a wallhanging, a flatfold, a tin).

I'm really curious what you have to say about this, so please leave your comments!

Hugs, Simone

confusion

I just read Simone's post on the blog and I am a bit confussed about the secrecy. I thought we were linked to a partner and each couple made an ornament for each other. That way I could simply ask about any likes or dislikes of my partner on the blog. But right now I really don't know how to find out about that. I don't "know"the person I am supposed to sent an ornie too at all and I sure want to sent something she likes.
As for my likes or dis likes. I do like all kinds of stitching styles. A few years ago I made some vermillion ornies in cookie tins and they are still the only stitched ornaments in our tree. To my partner I would say be sure I will treasure any ornie you will sent.

As I am due to go away for 3 weeks from this coming weekend I thought I had better get to work. It's designed, it's stitched and it's finished! Phew!
