Still traveling

I'm feeling sorry for those of you who haven't received an ornament yet... I really wished everybody had one with Christmas! But according to the list in the sidebar there are still 13 ornaments travelling the globe. Please let me (or your exchangepartner) know when you receive your ornament!
And let's all keep our fingers crossed that tomorrow the mailman delivers some of those "missing" ornaments!

I'm so sorry I'm late in posting a picture!

But I received this wonderful ornie from Denise. It's from this years JCS Ornament Preview issue - and she picked my favorite and I love it! Thank you so much! It's hanging front and center on the tree; it was the first ornament we hung when we put the tree up last night!

Thank You Tina B!

My lovely ornament from Tina Buckner arrived today. I love it and as you can see I have it hung from the garland over my fireplace. Thank you so much Tina:) This picture really does not do it justice but it's so dull here I struggle to get decent pictures.

A lovely exchange arrived today!

I have to admit, I was beginning to think I had been forgotten in this exchange.... but today, a very pretty exchange arrived from Missouri! Thank you Cathy! What a sweet ornament, and such an adorable fob (also made my Cathy!). She also sent some interesting looking chocolate bars, but my DH has already taken those and hidden them away - LOL!

Thank you Cathy, and Happy Holidays!!

Ornie Received from Monique in the Netherlands!

Isn't this just lovely? It's the Santa with Pear Tree design by Prairie Schooler, and Monique stitched it one-over-one. I love the lace border, too! And I also appreciate the DMC floss - it's a color variations one called "Radiant Ruby," which will be perfect for stitching more Christmas ornaments. Thanks, Monique!!!!

Ornament Received

I heard from Tina today that she received the ornament that I sent to her. We actually had each other's name. So here is a picture of what I sent. I made my own bellpull hardware with things that I got at the local bead store.

Thank you Sisu!

I received this lovely ornament from Sisu, thank you so much!! I've never seen an ornament like this, it's very special and it must have been difficult to make, the shape is so original. I love it, it's so cute and I will definitely hang it on our Christmas tree. It's perfect, thank you :)

Sisu also sent me this Christmas spider with a beautiful legend about spiders and Christ child, I've never heard it before. Did you make the spider yourself? Thank you for this too! I left a comment to your blog Sisu, please e-mail me so that I can thank you properly :) I didn't find your e-mail address anywhere.

Lucky -- Unlucky

Mr. Postman brought both joy and annoyance --

This beauty arrived from Michele in Kansas
Simone's Exchange 2007 -- from Michele in KS
The pretty glitter in the background is the gift bag Michele wrapped in.
Michele, this is sooooo beautiful. Thank you!!!!!!! Currently this beauty is decorating my office and making everyone jealous.

The unlucky bit -- I'm sorry to the person who is waiting for my package, but postal machines are mean. The pack came back to me. Part of the envelop looks like it got eaten. Everything inside is fie though. Oh well, back to the post office.

Christmas *is* coming, I promise!!!

Ruth B.

My ornament from Simone

Thursday, December 6, 2007

I just received my ornie!

It came all the way from the Netherlands! Thank you, Diana! It is so cute! I love the little wood ornaments, too. Diana also sent me two skeins of DMC floss and a little card! I'll try to take pictures later since I am at work now.

SO CUTE! *faints*

Christmas ornament from Leena

I received my Christmas ornament (for the Xmas ornie exchange) from Leena today. She stitched me such a pretty ornament! It has an unusual
color-combination, but - like you wrote Leena - I love it! This ornament is
getting a good place in my tree (which I'm going to put in my living room
this weekend) Leena also added some nice gifts: a piece of quilt fabric, a
transparent blue ribbon, some Atalie-floss (my first one!) in "caramel" and
a bar of chocolate, which I just ate!
Leena, thank you so much! I love your gifts!!!

Look what I received

Kitty made this beautiful ornament for me. It is santa with a big bell under his suit. It was such a nice present to receive (see the picture how it was packed). Kitty I like it very much and thank you also for the nice fabric and potpouri. This santa will receive a nice place in our tree.
Best wishes,
Minet

O got a beautiful ornament

Yesterday the mailman brought me a package from Luxembourg. It was so much fun to open it. And what did I find inside, just look at the pictures. Isn't this ornament great! The star is completely stitched over 1 and it has great sparkles on it. And the backside looks great too.
Thank you very much Jule, this ornament will have a very nice place on our tree in the future.

My ornament is on its way, Susan Locke

Ornament from Pascale

This is the ornament Pascale sent out yesterday. Someone is going to be a lucky girl!

Thank you, Lisa!

I was absolutely delighted yesterday evening to find Lisa's gorgeous biscornu ornament waiting for me when I got home from work yesterday! Thank you, thank you, thank you! It's beautiful, and I love the little silk ribbon flowers. The photo you posted earlier was pretty, but it doesn't do justice to the real thing! This whole exchange has been a blast, thanks, Simone, for organizing this!
Robin in NC

Coming from Australia to The Netherlands

Hey there everyone, I have posted from Australia to The Netherlands. But I forgot to take a piccy.

It may seem small but I am in the middle of something much bigger for my partner and it will be posted as soon as it is finished. I was doing a course of a night time and had a lot of homework to finish before my next class. So my original idea is still in the making, it just wasn't ready to send out in time.

Ornament Arrived

Just a quick note to say "thank you" to Robin for her lovely ornament and card which I picked up from the parcel office yesterday.

I will post a picture tomorrow, as I'm in the middle of an essay crisis at the moment - I need to write 1000 words by 4pm :o)

Another Ornie on its way..

This one headed out on its journey today, also. It was a pleasure to stitch, and I got to use several goodies from my stash :)

On It's Way

Mine reached Nevada...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
My ornament exchange reached Nevada about two weeks ago... I see Catherine did not put a photo up, so I figured I would. Didn't want anyone to think I had not sent mine out! Happy Holidays!

Received My Ornament

I want to thank Dineke Molema for the beautiful ornament she sent me. It is just gorgeous, both back and front. It will be placed on my Christmas tree this year, and every year to come. Thank you so much.
Linda Meadows

Received ornaments from Catherine

Today I received, not one, not two, but three goodies from Catherine Miller! What a nice surprise! She sent the Las Vegas tree by M designs and the Angel Heart ornament by Charland designs, along with a scented potpourri sachet! The back of the green ornie has an angel on it, but this side had the gold dove charm and showed the variegation in the pretty thread better. The Vegas tree has dozens of different colors, types, and sizes of beads on it. My kidlets both liked them, though it was my daughter who tried to claim them as her own. Thanks again Catherine, they are sweet!
